Job Definition
Within our NEW Advanced Manufacturing area, we are looking for a skilled all round Engineer who has an excellent track record in CNC machining, a solid understanding of programming and an extremely keen eye for detail. The division is focused on a selection of key clients. The work is varied, challenging and quality is paramount for this position.
It is the responsibility of the Advanced Manufacturing area to define the method of manufacture, ability to meet customer requirements, quality requirement, ensuring everything is ready for manufacture (tooling etc) and then manufacture through to quality check. Final quality sign off will be by our quality dept, however, the completed parts will be presented to QC dept with the knowledge that they are correct and ready for final inspection.
This position would be ideal for an all round good engineer. Flexibility is fundamental and client demands (short timescales is a key factor) will dictate the deadlines.
Responsibilities
Creating, editing, interrogating FeatureCam programs
Machining of complex parts, mainly within plastics but there will be metals involved also
High focus on quality for everything that is produced and dispatched from the advanced manufacturing division area
Programming in CAM packages
Communication with customers and external stakeholders around technical requirements
Define MoM, meet customer and quality requirements
QC components to ensure they are fit to drawing and ready for final inspection
Work to the ActionPlas values
Skills
Solid and active experience with CNC machines - milling (essential)
Turning and routing (preferred, not essential)
Minimum of 3 years experience in programming, setting and operating multi-axis mills.
Experience with HAAS machines essential
Multi skilled across various CNC machines
Experience with CAD/CAM packages
Demonstration of how quality is embedded through the work that they do
Characteristics
